It is one of the most beautiful corners of Morelia with stone buildings and elaborate wrought ironwork.

This picturesque alley is framed by lush bougainvilleas, and in the center, there are two beautiful fountains.

Before becoming a tourist attraction, it was the passageway for workers from a soap factory who had their homes along the alley for quick access to the factory. Its name wasn't always "Romance Alley"; it was previously known as "Callejón de la Bolsa" and later as "Callejón del Socialismo."

However, in 1965, the alley was renovated, and its 19 buildings are included in the catalog of historic monuments of Morelia.

It is a pleasant place where you can walk and enjoy the colonial and unique atmosphere of Morelia.

It is located a few meters from the Aqueduct and the Fountain of the Tarascas.
