"THE PLACE OF THE GODS"
This name was assigned by the Mexica people and means "The Place of the Gods," but relatively little is known about the true history of the place, making it one of the great mysteries of the world.
This town has been able to preserve its traditions and, in addition to the impressive archaeological zone, it has other interesting places to visit and a wide variety of activities ranging from bike rides to hot air balloon flights.
The climate of this town is temperate, with an average annual temperature of 15ºC. The coldest months are December, January, and February when the thermometer can reach 8ºC, while in summer temperatures rise up to 26ºC.
It is located only 50 km from Mexico City and is a town that owes its fame to its archaeological zone.

Tourist Attractions in Teotihuacán
Ex Convento y Templo de San Juan Bautista (Ex-Convent and Temple)
This building dates back to 1548 with a beautifully ornate quarry facade and a tower decorated with blue and red floral motifs.
It has an attractive open chapel with an arcade, and inside it stands out the pulpit carved in noble wood and the ancient baptismal font.
The temple has a beautiful quarry facade in baroque style featuring flower figures.
The Solomon columns that distinguish it from other religious buildings in the region are also noteworthy.
Inside, a beautiful altarpiece can be appreciated.

Jardín de Cactáceas Mercalli (Cactus Garden)
This beautiful garden covers an area of 4 hectares and is located near the Pyramid of the Sun. It showcases a magnificent display of flora from arid areas of the country, such as barrel cacti, agaves, and palms, as well as endemic vegetation like figs, prickly pears, and capulines, among many others.
The garden's collection comprises more than 1,700 plant species and is a true oasis within Teotihuacan.
