Considered one of the most beautiful theaters in Mexico.

It was built between 1872 and 1903 by the architect José Noriega and inaugurated by President Porfirio Díaz.

Its portico is in Roman Doric style, and on top of the facade, you can see eight bronze sculptures representing eight of the nine canonical muses of Greek inspiration.

The theater hall has a horseshoe shape, and its decoration is of oriental influence. The standout feature is the curtain, created by the French artist Labasta, who was the decorator and set designer of the Paris Comic Opera. The folded drapery recreates a fragment of the story "The Golden Horn of Constantinople."

It has an Art Nouveau smoking room (foyer), a place with classic and refined furniture that transports you to another era, making it an ideal spot to take a memorable photo.
