The mural is made with a technique of pre-cast slabs forming mosaics of natural stones and colored tiles.

It is 22.60 m long and 15 m high and is the work of master Salvador Almaraz López.

The mural encompasses themes such as religiosity, grandeur, luxury and strength.

This artistic representation shows the origins of the city with elements such as: grasses, and corn and wheat seeds that were a source of wealth in the Bajío (region in central Mexico). Likewise, there are red hearts that resemble the typical strawberries produced in Irapuato.

The mural also includes a compass rose in the center of the mural, on the pyramidal complex, inspired by the Cerro del Bernalejo, located west to the city.

Location

It is located on the streets of Ramón Barreto de Tábora and Berriozábal, Irapuato, Gto.
