ARCHITECTURAL AND NATURAL BEAUTY IN THE MIDST OF THE SIERRA

Located in the heart of the Sierra Norte de Puebla, surrounded by three hills: Xicotepec, Mextlepec, and Cacaloteptl.

Its name comes from Nahuatl and means "hill of bumblebees." Xicotepec has the honor of having been the capital of the Mexican Republic for three days in 1920 while the autopsy of the recently assassinated Venustiano Carranza was carried out.

Its beautiful natural environment of forests and waterfalls, combined with its pre-Hispanic origin when it was inhabited by Olmecs, Otomis, Totonacos, Huastecs, and Nahuas, gives it a unique mystical atmosphere.

The climate is temperate and humid, with rain throughout most of the year. The average annual temperature is 18ºC and is characterized by fog for most of the year, so we advise you to bring warm clothing when you visit.

It is located 182 km (3 hours) from the city of Puebla, 82 km (one hour and 45 minutes) from Poza Rica, and 187 km (3 hours and 15 minutes) from Mexico City.
