ATLIXCO
Río Nexapa
The best option for rafting is the Nexapa River that flows from the southern and western slopes of Popocatépetl, where the streams converge to the south.
In its initial part, the river descends on the igneous rocks of the Neovolcanic Axis and continues its route towards the area of oldest sedimentary rocks of the Sierra Madre del Sur, where its current has excavated a canyon more than 1,000 m (3,280 ft) deep.
The enormous boulders that are in the middle of the channel build labyrinths between the current and form innumerable rapids. The route offers beautiful landscapes and its rapids are exciting but not dangerous. It is located a little over half an hour from Atlixco.
CUETZALAN

The river offers class II and III rapids and along its course you can enjoy a wide variety of tropical vegetation and waterfalls.
It is located in the northern region of Puebla, 40 minutes from the magical town of Cuetzalan and 145 km from the state capital.
