Sierra Norte
For fans of this sport, there is nothing better than taking an 85-kilometer journey through the Sierra Norte, near the communities of Zacatlán and Cuetzalan, and being able to enjoy the spectacular landscapes of this area.
PUEBLA
Pico de Orizaba
Climb the highest peaks in the country and observe the stars up close at Pico de Orizaba at a height of 5,636 meters above sea level. The highest part has two surprises: one of the largest astronomical telescopes in the world, known as the Large Millimeter Telescope (GTM) and the High Altitude Mexican Solar Observatory (Osomega). It is located just over three hours from the city of Puebla.
La Malinche National Park
It is located 35 km. from the city of Puebla, it is perfect for mountaineering. The volcano reaches 4,460 meters above sea level and offers a landscape of oaks, pines and oyameles. There are two routes to ascend the mountain and a shelter.
Popocatepetl and Iztaccíhuatl
The two huge volcanoes, Popocatépetl with an altitude of 5,452 meters above sea level and Iztaccíhuatl with 5,286 meters above sea level offer several routes to get to the top. There are several options to enjoy the high mountain experience with the panoramic view of the Popocatépetl valleys. In this area you can also go hiking and camping.
