PLACE WITH MYSTERIOUS REMAINS WITH SECRETS HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT

It is a place full of history, as it is precisely here where some of the oldest remnants of maize domestication were found, dating back to approximately 5000 BC. Additionally, it was one of the points along the Royal Road, so it features interesting colonial buildings and is known as the City of Springs, due to the many healing waters found in this region.

You can admire the prevailing vegetation in this area at the wonderful Helia Bravo Hollis Botanical Garden, located within the Tehuacán-Cuicatlán Biosphere Reserve, where you can discover the medicinal uses of many of these plants and even have the opportunity to see astonishing marine fossils.
