Esculturas y Murales Callejeros (Sculptures and Street Murals)
One of the things that has always characterized this destination is art.
Here you can enjoy various renowned galleries, but in recent times, you can also appreciate art on the streets.

Isla del Río Cuale (Cuale River Island)
Located on the Cuale River, which separates the historic center from the Romantic Zone.
The island is divided into two areas: one where the Cuale Cultural Center is located, offering a tranquil atmosphere, and the other part is connected to the extension of the new Malecón, featuring a large number of craft shops. Both areas are connected by a fun hanging bridge.
Jardín Botánico de Vallarta (Botanical Garden)
It boasts an extensive collection of endemic plants and flowers, including an orchid and vanilla conservatory.
Located south of Puerto Vallarta, a visit to this garden can take several hours to fully appreciate all the unique species it houses.
The place includes dedicated areas for species such as agaves, roses, and even uncommon plants like carnivorous plants. Guided tours are available, and there are also birdwatching excursions for bird enthusiasts.

Malecón (Boardwalk)
One of the most beautiful promenades in Mexico, stretching for 800 meters over 11 blocks, of which 8 are pedestrian-only.
It features a series of trendy boutiques, shops, art galleries, markets, cafes, bars, and fantastic restaurants. Taking a stroll along the Malecón is a must-do when visiting Puerto Vallarta.
Marina Vallarta
It is a destination in itself, located 10 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport.

Mercado de Artesanías “Pueblo Viejo” (Crafts Market)

Here you will find a wide range of crafts from the state, jewelry, souvenirs, traditional clothing, and you can savor typical Mexican snacks.
It is located a couple of blocks from the Municipal Market.

Muelle Los Muertos (Pier)
This modern pier features an attractive pedestrian walkway. The walkway leads to a circular square where an incredible metal structure resembling a sail stands.
In the square, there is an observation deck and benches, making it the perfect place to stroll and admire the sea or a romantic sunset as it extends a little over a hundred meters into the sea.
In addition, the pier serves as the embarkation point for water taxis and pangas heading to southern beaches such as Las Ánimas, Quimixto, Mismaloya, and Yelapa.

Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe
Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish is one of the most iconic buildings in the city. It features a giant dome that is a replica of the crown worn by Empress Carlota in 1860.
The architectural style is primarily neoclassical, although the towers are Renaissance-style.
On December 12th, a festivity takes place where pre-Hispanic and Christian traditions intertwine. It is located just one block from the Plaza de Armas.

Plaza Principal o Plaza de Armas (Main Plaza)
It has a beautiful gazebo, trees, and flower beds, making it the ideal place to savor an ice cream or simply enjoy the provincial atmosphere of Vallarta.
Cultural presentations, art exhibitions, and lively concerts take place here.
On Sundays, it turns into a dance floor where the traditional danzón is practiced. The Municipal Band also performs on Thursdays.

Plaza Lázaro Cárdenas
Also known as the Plaza de los Azulejos (Tile Plaza). It is located near Los Muertos Beach and is adorned with beautiful benches and columns covered in colorful mosaics that are truly works of art.
It has a gazebo that serves as a stage for events.
It also features a statue of Lázaro Cárdenas and a charming sculpture of a donkey.
