Located on the Cuale River, which separates the historic center from the Romantic Zone.

The island is divided into two areas: one where the Cuale Cultural Center is located, offering a tranquil atmosphere, and the other part is connected to the extension of the new Malecón, featuring a large number of craft shops. Both areas are connected by a fun hanging bridge.

The colorful market on Cuale River Island is the ideal place to buy beautiful souvenirs.

In addition to the market, there are several restaurants and beautiful fountains that adorn the promenade, along with a statue of John Huston, who brought international fame to Puerto Vallarta.
