This small town has some buildings worth visiting.
Among them are the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe, dating back to 1860 and featuring various architectural styles. Other religious buildings in Ahualulco include the Sanctuary Primara Capilla of the Former Ayahualulco Convent and the Franciscan Convent, both from the 16th century.
At the City Hall, there are attractive murals, and across from it, you can visit the characteristic Portal Juárez, dating back to the late 17th century.
Don't miss the Old Market, built in the early 20th century, where you can find a wide variety of crafts.
Moreover, this place has gained renown for its unique geological formations in the shape of spheres, the origin of which is unknown. There are various theories about their formation, but what is certain is that this is one of the three places in the world where rocks like these have been found.
