This former hacienda was founded between 1760 and 1762 by Count Regla.

The hacienda was used for silver processing.

However, due to the hacienda falling into disuse, it was decided in the early 20th century to flood it for the construction of a dam that was necessary to generate electricity for Pachuca and its surroundings.

Currently, you can see a "chacuaco" (smokestack) and a small tower emerging from the waters.

There are boat rides to observe these vestiges up close. Additionally, you can enjoy a beautiful forest landscape.

Location

San Antonio Dam is located just 10 minutes from the center of the Magical Town of Huasca de Ocampo.
