PLEASANT FISHING PARADISE

These are some of the cleanest beaches in all of Mexico.

San Felipe is the northernmost beach resort community on the west side of the Sea of Cortez. It is located 124 miles south of the Calexico/Mexicali border and 230 miles from San Diego.

It is an undiscovered paradise, a beautiful bay surrounded by coastal mountains in the middle of the desert, with wide beaches gently kissed by warm gulf waters. San Felipe is ideal for water sports such as sport fishing, diving, swimming, water skiing, boat rides, banana boats, and parasailing.

One of the unique features of San Felipe is that it is located 3 meters above sea level, so during low tide, the water can recede up to two kilometers, giving you the opportunity to explore the sea floor with just your feet getting wet. If you want to get some clams, all you need is a bucket and a rake, and you can find several without much effort.

To the southeast of San Felipe lies Consag Island, where you can see sea lions, seals, and seabirds. From a distance, it looks like a massive white cruise ship.

San Felipe

Its beautiful beaches have warm waters from May to October and mild temperatures from November to April.

Another attraction of this destination is its white sand dunes known as "Las Pintas," framed by a beautiful landscape. That's why several movies and documentaries have been filmed here. These dunes come from the Salada Lagoon and, with the wind and time, have formed constantly changing mounds.

There are several beachfront areas with services for mobile homes and cabins. The gastronomic and commercial area along the boardwalk offers establishments to enjoy seafood or do some shopping.
