You can climb Cerro El Centinela, also known as Weeishpa by the native Kumiai community. It is an elevation of 750-meter (2,500 feet) and its ascent requires good physical condition and a lot of resistance, since the terrain is complicated and there are many loose stones. It is located 30 minutes from Mexicali.
One of the great challenges that Baja California is Cerro la Encantada, better known as Picacho del Diablo (Devil's Peak), with an elevation of 3,096-meter (10,150 feet) above sea level, the highest mountain peak of Baja California. It has intermediate camps because usually takes several days to summit. It is located within the Sierra de San Pedro Mártir National Park, 52 km from San Felipe and 183 km from Mexicali.
