The top places to dive in Bahía de los Ángeles are:

Coronadito is excellent for snorkeling and deep night diving.

Mitlán, El Quemado, Punta La Gringa and La Vida Alta are places for begginers.

Piedras Ahogadas, Pescador and Alcatracito are excellent options for snorkeling and diving.

El Torzón and Punta Don Juan are places for deep diving.

However, if you want to have an unforgettable experience in the waters of Bahía de los Ángeles, you can dive with the whale shark from May to November.

Ensenada

Among one of the best places to dive is Punta Banda, located about 18 km south of Ensenada and Isla Todos Santos with good visibility but strong ocean currents.

The Island of Todos Santos is actually a small archipelago consisting of two islands. It is located 19 km from Ensenada and is a dive destination that is better appreciated as an advanced divers for the strong ocean currents. In fact, the waves of the smallest island, are for many the largest waves in the American continent, compared with the ones of the Banco de Cortés and Mavericks.

Guadalupe Island offers must try adrenaline adventures. From August to October you can dive into a cage and see great white sharks up close. It is located 241 km from the coast of the Baja California peninsula.

The Sea of Cortez is rich with wildlife, including one of the largest sea lion colonies in Mexico. And the best place to live the experience of these playful creatures is on the shores of Isla San Pedro Mártir, located between southern Baja California and the coasts of Sonora.

The islands are surrounded by strong currents, make it a dive site only for experienced divers who have exposure of diving in currents. The protected reefs on the Sea of Cortez are ideal for beginning divers.

Rosarito

The Uribe 121, , a 220-foot long former patrol vessel for the Mexican Navy, was sunk 1.2 miles of the coast of Rosarito in the Rosarito Underwater Park, in Bahia Descanso, a quiet bay. The long-term plan is to create the country's first dive park.

The Coronado Islands is a group of four small islands with little vegetation and on one side offer calm waters where you can enjoy snorkeling and on the opposite side, faces the open ocean and the ocean currents are stronger, a place for advanced divers. The South Island offers you an attractive cave to explore.

Roca El Terrón de Azucar (Sugar Loaf Rock) is located off the coast of Bahía El Descanso and is a true paradise for divers for its rich marine biodiversity. Its eastern side is the deepest and is a place worth exploring.

San Felipe

One of the best places for diving is Playa Puertecitos, a small cove located 90 km south of San Felipe. A quiet place to enjoy marine life.
