Defined by its high level of endemism, its main attraction is a large number of huge and peculiar cacti unique in the world called cardones (Carnegia Gigantea) that measure over 60 feet and can weigh up to 25 tons.

These slow growing plants also have an equally impressive lifespan, often reaching ages of up to 300 years. It is honestly quite humbling to stand underneath of one of these giants as their massive branches stretch upwards into the desert sky.

These giants are accompanied by biznagas and choyas throughout the entire route that you can take on foot or in your car.

You can be sure that the photos you take with these extraordinary massive cardóns will be a success on the social networks. It has a parking lot, camping area, restrooms, and offers flora and fauna observation tours.
