Ensenada

Near Ensenada, south of La Rumorosa and very close to the border with the United States, there are a couple of places considered a paradise for those who love climbing : the Tajo Canyon and the Great White Throne. El Tajo Canyon has several granite domes with many traditional climbing routes, mixed routes and sports routes. White Throne is an impressive monolith with routes of up to 600-meter (2,000 feet) long.

The Guadalupe Canyon, located in the Sierra de San Pedro Mártir National Park, is one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in the world. It is an oasis in the middle of the desert with hot springs. There are several climbing routes in this unique paradise.

Other options are the Mission and a canyon located south of Puerto Nuevo.

Tecate

The Arroyo la Gloria, in La Rumorosa near Tecate offers good options for rock climbing.
