COMBINATION OF CULTURE, LANDSCAPES AND FUN

Cancún means "Golden Serpent" in the language of the Maya. Located in the east side of the Yucatán Peninsula, in the state of Quintana Roo, the city developed in the early seventies has become one of the most popular resorts in Mexico. The small island just 12 miles long and 1 mile wide right on the Caribbean coast is marked by exceptional natural beauty and dotted with lagoons and spectacular beaches.

The sand in Cancun is incomparable since it never gets hot due to its color and texture.

In downtown Cancún, you will find all kinds of restaurants and shops, as well as all sorts of markets and supermarkets and many businesses serving residents and tourists alike. The hotel area offers excellent marinas, golf courses, ultramodern malls, and a rich and exciting nightlife.

In Cancun there are interesting Mayan vestiges, as well as a museum that exhibits pieces of this culture.

With 250 sunny days a year, the gentle sea breezes keep the temperature at around 80ºF, providing the ideal place to enjoy yourself and indulge.

Cancun has the most modern and functional airport in Latin America and the Caribbean with flights and connections around the world. It’s easy to fly to Cancún, about one hour and a half from Miami and four hours from Chicago and New York. Many airlines offer flights from several cities in Mexico, the U.S., Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Take one of the first class buses from Mexico City, Mérida, and other major cities in southeast Mexico. Cancún is at the end of Route 180, which extends from Matamoros on the Texas border to Campeche, Mérida, and Valladolid. The drive from Texas to Cancún can take three days, but it is well worth it.
