Playa Azul

This beach offers a great view of the Caribbean Sea.

It has a family-friendly atmosphere and is suitable for swimming and playing volleyball.

It is ideal for the enjoyment of the whole family and has palapa-style restaurants offering a wide variety of seafood and Mexican specialties.


Playa Bonita

Close to Colombia Lagoon and within the facilities of Rancho Ixpalbarco on the east coast of the island. In fact, the Mayans believed this was the place where civilization ended because it is located at the easternmost point they knew.

Though not easily accessible, it is worth visiting as it is a paradisiacal and solitary cove that invites relaxation and reflection.

It also holds small Mayan vestiges for those interested in archaeology.

Playa Chen Río

Considered one of the best beaches on the east side of the island.

It is characterized by its large rock formations that create a huge natural pool, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Playa Chumul

Playa Dzul Ha

A beautiful beach located in front of the Dzul Ha reef, which houses a wide variety of marine life.

Playa El Cielo

One of the most beautiful beaches on the island, with incredible white sands and transparent waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling.

El Cielo is located about a kilometer from the island's shores and can only be reached by boat. It is considered a sanctuary of starfish and one of the most spectacular places in the entire Caribbean. The water depth varies in some places, generally reaching waist height (3-4 ft.), though in some spots, it can be deeper.

In addition to observing a colony of starfish, you can also spot sea turtles and manta rays swimming in crystal-clear waters.

Playa Encantada

Located at the southern tip of the island, this beach is always bustling.

It is an ideal spot for a wide range of water sports.

Only 4 km away, you can find the archaeological site El Caracol, believed to be a Mayan observatory.

Playa Hernán

It is very close to the Tourist Center of San Gervasio.

A beautiful beach protected by two tiny islets and El Castillo Real, the largest Mayan vestige on the island believed to be an observatory.

Playa Mr. Sanchos

Located on the west side of the island, it has over 500 m of white sands and crystal-clear waters.

The perfect place for a variety of water sports like jet skiing, parasailing, snorkeling, and diving.

In the vicinity of the beach, you can explore the jungle on a quad bike or on horseback.

Playa Nachi Cocom

This beach with white sands has everything for a relaxing experience, including calm and transparent waters.

It is not as crowded, so you can enjoy this little paradise in a peaceful setting. It features a beach club with a pool, jacuzzi, bathrooms, massages, and personalized attention.

It is also an ideal place for celebrating weddings.

Playa Palancar

It is a beautiful beach with a very relaxed atmosphere that features a beach club, bar, and dive shop.

One of the best places for snorkeling and diving because you can explore the famous Palancar reef.

Playa San Francisco

It is one of the most popular beaches among both locals and tourists.

It has gentle waves and soft sands that invite relaxation. At this beach, you can rent glass-bottom boats to explore the island's coast and enjoy one of its greatest treasures, its astonishing reefs.

Playa de San Juan

This beach has calm waters and offers a beautiful landscape.

It is the perfect place for horseback riding.

Situated in the northern hotel zone.


Playa San Martin

One of the locals' favorite beaches, this wide stretch of nearly four kilometers is ideal for sunbathing.

Smoking is prohibited on this beach within a range of a mile and a half.

Punta Chiqueros

Known for its crescent shape, this is one of the beaches located on the southeast of the island.

It has a reef on its coast, ideal for snorkeling and diving. You can also practice windsurfing, camp, and enjoy incomparable sunsets.

It is secluded and does not have much infrastructure, only a restaurant specializing in seafood and a small store.

Punta Morena

One of the few places on the island to surf.

Although the waves are not very high, it is an ideal spot for beginners in this exciting sport.

This beach is home to a beach club, as well as children's playgrounds, hammocks, a pool, massage cabins, a restaurant, a bar, and a gift shop.
