THE AUTHENTIC FLAIR OF THE MEXICAN CARIBBEAN
Tiny Isla Mujeres—just five miles long by one mile across—is an ideal place to relax, bask in the sun, swim, and snorkel.
With over 480 years of history, it's a site with a rich tradition and Caribbean culture. Arriving at Isla Mujeres is like stepping into a dream world where every traveler finds their second home. It's love at first sight, thanks to its Caribbean charms and natural beauty.
There are accommodations for all budgets, as well as interesting boutique hotels for travelers with refined tastes. The island also offers restaurants specializing in international and regional cuisine, bars where you can listen to famous trova and island rhythms, beach clubs, marinas, and countless things to discover. Strolling through the town means discovering a pleasant main square, several craft shops, a cultural center, and a picturesque church.
Its inhabitants, mostly fishermen, invite you to embrace the simple and pleasurable life of the tropics. And how can one resist? With its beaches, more like paths of white sand, ideal for sunbathing and contemplating the sea, it's easy to succumb to the temptation of good food, dancing, water sports, and worldly serenity.
The largest and most pleasant beaches are found on the north and west sides, most of which are ideal for all kinds of water activities. The eastern side of the island has beautiful cliffs and strong waves.
Rent a bike or moped, or tour the island on a golf cart and enjoy all the island attractions.
As night falls, you can continue to enjoy the island as there are several places with live music where you can experience a pleasant atmosphere and even dance. There are options within the hotels, in the town center, and in palapas along the beach.
The average annual temperature on the island is 23º C.
