BEST BEACHES IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN
Mamitas Beach
One of the most active beaches in Playa del Carmen.
It has two beach clubs and you can rent boats, catamarans, and parasails to enjoy the beautiful waters of the Mexican Caribbean in a grand way.
It is a wide beach with a lively atmosphere and good music, a place to see and be seen.
The clubs rent lounge chairs and towels, and there is a children's pool and the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing massage.
Playa Playacar
Although this is a closed tourist development, the beaches are public.
They are spacious beaches that are less crowded, and where you can practice various water sports such as swimming and kite surfing.
Location
You can access them by walking south from the ferry pier to Cozumel.
Playa Portal Maya
It is known by the enormous arch formed by two intertwined giants known as the Mayan Portal.
It is easily accessible from the city center and has nearby bars and restaurants. Ideal for playing beach volleyball.
You can walk along the beach and the conditions are similar with calm waves, making it excellent for all kinds of water activities.

Located to the north of the ferry pier to Cozumel.
Punta Esmeralda
It is more frequented by locals than tourists, and its access is completely free.
Not only is it a beautiful Caribbean beach, but it also has an open cenote that flows into the sea with crystal-clear shallow waters, making it excellent for swimming - it's like a natural pool. The wide beach also has gentle waves, so you can also swim in the sea.
Location
It is located at the northern end of Playa del Carmen. To access this beach, you have to take a small path from Fifth Avenue near 110th Street North.
