TRADITION ALONG WITH MODERN TOURISM INFRASTRUCTURE
Formerly a fishing village, today is part of the metropolitan area of Veracruz, and has been growing year after year, turning into a commercial and tourist development center, with spectacular grand hotels, a World Trade Center and many fine restaurants.
With its warm weather and pleasant sea breezes, the modern developments offer an interesting contrast with the colonial architecture of the old buildings.
The Boqueña Gastronomy Zone is located on the banks of the Jamapa River, where traditional restaurants have preserved the atmosphere of the old fishing community and prepare dishes with recipes inherited for years.
The most important festival in Boca del Río is the Santa Ana festival that takes place every July 26. During this festival, it is already a tradition to impose a new Guinness record with the largest seafood fillet.
