COATEPEC

Cañón de Tacotalpan

It is a canyon with white marble walls in the middle of the Veracruz jungle. The route is approximately 4 km and is carried out between streams, waterfalls and paths where you can admire its marble and limestone walls. Along the way there is the opportunity to rappel, climb, walk among rocks and jump into pools of crystal clear waters. Located 8 km from Jalcomulco and 32 km from Coatepec.

Cañón del río Pescados

On the way you will have to walk, jump and swim in crystal clear waters. There are some sections of the river where its current is so strong and fast that only expert rafters can cross it without being knocked over. Located just over half an hour from Coatepec.

ORIZABA

In the central part of Veracruz, between Córdoba and Orizaba, half an hour from the Port of Veracruz, you may explore the Jamapa Canyon.

If you prefer an easier experience you can check out the Carbonera Canyon which is located in the National Park of the same name. On the way, you will be able to observe 24 waterfalls, 12 springs and 4 caverns, which is why it is recommended for people with some training. The tour takes approximately 36 hours. This canyon is 9 km long and its depth varies between 200 and 750 m (656 to 2,460 ft). Of course on the way you can go hiking, rappelling and jumping.
