ARCHITECTURAL TREASURES EMBRACED BY THE MIST

It is located in the region of the Grand Mountains, right where Mexico's highest mountain and volcano, Pico de Orizaba, meet. This means that the city is surrounded by imposing landscapes.

Orizaba was a small pre-Hispanic settlement and during the colonial era, it was a mandatory stop for all journeys heading from the coast to Mexico City via the Royal Road.

As you stroll through the streets of this beautiful Magical Town, almost always shrouded in mist, you can see its stately buildings that speak of other times, as well as its monuments and many bridges that have earned it the nickname "Our Lady of the Bridges." It boasts a great variety of cultural and natural attractions and has a cheerful and friendly atmosphere.

If you want to explore all the historical buildings of the city, don't miss using the Turibus, whose route starts and ends in front of the Cathedral of San Miguel Arcángel. The approximate duration of the tour is one hour and fifteen minutes.

For a panoramic view and to appreciate all the attractions of Orizaba from the skies, you can take a ride on the cable car, which is a unique piece in the southeast of the country and connects Plaza Pichucalco with the top of Cerro del Borrego.

Don't miss the opportunity to take some of the nighttime tours to learn more about the history and legends of Orizaba. You can visit the Municipal Cemetery, Ignacio de la Llave Theater, the Ex Convent of San Juan de la Cruz, and the Temple of Carmen and the Tower Museum of the Cathedral.

Orizaba is located 179 km from Xalapa, 132 km from the Port of Veracruz, and 266 km from Mexico City.
