TOP SIGHTS IN BOCA DEL RÍO
Centro Histórico o Zócalo

The Historic Center is the meeting place of Boca del Río. It has a roundabout located in front of the Government Palace.
During weekends, the Zocalo takes on a festive character when bands begin to play regional music.
Near the center is Plaza Bandera, which offers a beautiful view of the sea and some restaurants where you can enjoy traditional Veracruz cuisine.
Iglesia de Santa Ana

Its construction was completed on December 25, 1776, and has remained unchanged since then. Originally, the Virgin of Carmen, the patron saint of fishermen, was venerated, but according to local stories, the fishermen one day found the statue of Our Lady of Santa Ana in their nets, and that's when the church began to venerate Santa Ana.
This story also resulted in the celebration of Our Lady of Santa Ana every July 26th.

Museo Buque Cañonero Guanajuato

This unique interactive museum is located on a warship.
Here, you can have a different experience as you learn about the history of the vessel and gain a better understanding of the Mexican Navy.
Throughout the tour, you can explore 16 areas, including a library displaying the countries the ship visited, the bridge, the cabins, the communication room, and the dungeons.

Pequeña Venecia Veracruzana
This site has become one of the favorites for locals and visitors alike.
Here, you can take a boat ride through the estuary of Boca del Rio and enjoy the mangroves, structures, and artificial canals that surround it.
In this area, fresh and saltwater mix, resulting in an interesting range of greens and blues that add to its appeal.
Playas en Boca del Río (Beaches)
There are several beaches you can visit in Boca del Río. All of them offer a great time for families, including Playa los Arcos, Playa los Delfines, and Playa Santa Ana or Playa Boca del Río.
Another interesting beach to visit is Playa Mata de Uva. It is located next to Antón Lizardo and is a lesser-known place, so it's not very crowded. It's an ideal beach to relax and enjoy nature. It doesn't have many services, but the place is worth visiting.
Teatro Gutiérrez Barrios
This building with beautiful stained glass windows was inaugurated in 1992 and has become the cultural heart of Boca del Río.
It is the venue for theater shows, music concerts, dance performances, festivals, movies, and conferences.
It is also the home of the Boca del Río Philharmonic Orchestra.
