PAPANTLA

Río Filobobos

It has several sections to make the descent. Alto Filo section, is the steepest descent. It leaves from Cuetzapotitlán, the most canyoned part with extraordinary landscapes, natural pits for diving and water sources that create waterfalls with heights of up to 20 m (65 ft).

The Filo Section, offers class II and III, starting at the El Filo Bridge, having the opportunity to observe an area of fossils embedded in limestone slabs, natural slides, beautiful landscapes and the pre-Hispanic settlements of El Cuajilote and Vega de Peña.

And finally, the El Encanto Section, which starts from the waterfall of the same name, crossing a spectacular and narrow canyon of about 200 m (656 ft) and a width of 4 m (13 ft) at its narrowest point.

PUERTO DE VERACRUZ

Río Actopan

This blue river offer stunning natural beauty. It begins in a paradisiacal place called El Descabezadero, made up of the waterfalls that form the source of the channel.

It is a calm river ideal for a family outing and you will enjoy the valleys, ravines and plantations that surround it. You can also swim in its crystal clear waters. It is a class II-III river. Located just over an hour from the Port of Veracruz.

XALAPA

Pescados River or La Antigua (Jalcomulco)

The river has different sections, this is a beautiful class III. You can start from Barranca Grande, located in the deepest part of the ravine, where, due to the difficulty of the terrain, it is recommended to camp for a day and enjoy the landscape that changes from forest to tropical vegetation.

The second section is the most plentiful part, with 17 rapids and ends in Jalcomulco, where you can enjoy hot springs or temascal baths and a the delicious regional cuisine.
