A TOWN NEAR THE MAGICAL WORLD OF THE BILBAO DUNES

This peaceful place is located 70 km from Torreon and has experienced economic growth in recent years due to the maquiladoras that have been established there.

It is a place that has many stories to tell. Miguel Hidalgo was imprisoned here in 1811, and later Benito Juárez established himself in Viesca, where he issued some of his important decrees. Additionally, Lázaro Cárdenas stayed at the Ex Hacienda de Hornos, located very close to Viesca.

Viesca is known for its embroidery and lacework. At the Casa de Cultura, located on the main street, you can buy doilies and other handmade products.

It is located 73 km (one hour) from Torreon, 76 km (one hour and 10 minutes) from Parras de la Fuente, 238 km (2 and a half hours) from Saltillo, and 319 km (3 and a half hours) from Monterrey.
