ARTEAGA

Boca del Oso Canyon

It is located near Arteaga in a mountainous area and is the highest in all of Coahuila, because it is at 2,500 meters above sea level. To reach the canyon you will need to walk for a half-hour until you reach a slope that leads to the stream of the creek flanked by walls of white and yellow limestone. The route includes climbing, rappelling, zip lining and walking.

PARRAS DE LA FUENTE

La Lima Canyon

It is located near Parras de la Fuente and has impressive vertical walls over 40-meter (131 feet) high. To get to the canyon you need to climb, swim, jump and walk for almost three hours. Once in the canyon the journey becomes easier.

SALTILLO

Balcones Canyon

It is located south of Saltillo in the Sierra de Zapalinamé and it is consider one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the state. To get to the canyon you have to walk for more than an hour, and although the route involves 5 rappels from 15-meter (49 feet) to 30-meter (98 feet) high, zip-lining and walking, it is relatively easy, so it is suitable for the whole family.

El Niño Canyon

It is another canyon in the southern area of Saltillo, which is accessed after walking for almost two hours on the path known as “los burreros”, you will have to ascend until reaches a point known as El Mirador. From here you have to do several rappels on rocks, ledges and cracks that go from 12-meter (39 feet) to 35-meter (114 feet).

El Chiflon Canyon

Located 35 km from Saltillo, it is surrounded by a desert landscape. To get to the canyon you have to walk for almost an hour until you find three waterfalls from 15-meter (49 feet) to 35-meter (114 feet) and when you start the rappel descent the landscape changes with another type of vegetation. This adventure ends in two natural pools of crystal clear water where you can swim.
