It is located on the hill of the same name in the municipality of Teziutlán.

This peculiar temple began construction in 1925 amidst beautiful wooded scenery and was completed in 1932 after many efforts.

One of its peculiarities is that fragments of the damaged altar from the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City, as a result of the attack on the Guadalupe image in 1921, were used in its construction. This action was considered a clear expression of religious intolerance in the prelude to the Cristero War.

Later, a road leading to the temple was built, making it easier to access.

From this place, you have a beautiful panoramic view of the municipal seat.
