THE IDEAL PLACE TO ENJOY GREAT ADVENTURES

Its name means "land of herons" in the Rarámuri language, and it is located just a few meters from the Sinforosa Canyon, one of the deepest in Mexico.

It is a place where you will have unforgettable vacations as it offers ancient culture, unique gastronomy, and breathtaking landscapes that include the “El Salto” waterfall, the Jaguar Canyon, and the impressive Sinforosa Canyon, which you can admire from spectacular viewpoints.

Another characteristic is its abundant bodies of water where you can fish or boat, such as in "Las Garzas" Lake, a beautiful freshwater spring formed by the waters of the Guachochi River. Close to this site is the El Salto waterfall, a 17-meter-high water drop. This Magical Town is the only city in Chihuahua with a natural lake and a waterfall in its center.

Another attraction is the colorful Rarámuri handicrafts that reflect their ancestral traditions. The most notable include basketry pieces, woven sashes, carved wooden products, and bracelets.

If you visit Guachochi between June and August, you will find warm weather, but if you prefer fewer people and snowy landscapes, you can visit from December to February.

It is located 430 km from the city of Chihuahua, and on the way, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Sierra Tarahumara.
