Cumbres de Majalca

One of the most beautiful places to camp in the state is the Cumbres de Majalca (Summits). The place combines whimsical rock formations with a forest of pines and oaks. There are several streams and rivers so is very easy to find amazing camping spots. It is located an hour and a half north of the city of Chihuahua.

COPPER CANYON

This is a magical place for camping and offers hundreds of options. One option is the Divisadero, although it should be noted that if you are near the viewpoint the wind will blow very strong, although the view is spectacular.

Another option is the Mesa de Mogotabo which is northwest of Divisadero, it is a very flat terrain and the wind is not so strong.

The Barranca de Candemeña, is another good option especially in the area of the impressive Cascada de Piedra Volada. Here you will enjoy unique landscapes, especially in the summer season when the waterfall shows off its impressive 453-meter (1,490 feet) high. It is also a good place for hiking and mountain biking.
