COPPER CANYON

Candameña Canyon

In this ravine you will discover two of the highest waterfalls in Mexico, Basaseachi and Piedra Volada.

The Basaseachi Waterfall is located 3.2 km from the community of Ocampo and there is a trail that runs along the La Ventana Viewpoint Route and leads to this impressive waterfall. The panoramic view of the waterfall and its surroundings is splendid. The climb is very demanding so you need a very good physical condition.

If you prefer a route that does not involve so much effort. You can walk the path that leads to the viewpoints of Rancho San Lorenzo, you can access through Las Estrellas and the panoramic views of both the waterfall and the canyon, will not disappoint you.

The Piedra Volada Waterfall, 453-meter (1,486 feet) high, is also a place that requires a long walk and high level of fitness. You have to walk along two paths that lead to different viewpoints and from there continue two more kilometers to reach the waterfall. However, your effort is rewarded as the entire trail offers incredible views. You can also camp and go mountain biking.

Urique Canyon

There are interesting tours from the town of Cerocahui or Huicochi to the Corocahui Waterfall that includes approximately 8 km round trip where you can see the impressive forest landscapes home of more than 200 species of birds.
