It is a building dating back to the 19th century and is known as the "Casa de los Altos" (House of the Heights).

Its name comes from being the first two-story construction in Tehuacán. It features an attractive Moorish style.

An impressive mural painted by the Carpinteyro brothers called "Tehuacán and its five regions" stands out, narrating the history of Tehuacán from its foundation to modern times.

Inside, there is an imposing staircase, and at the landing, there is another mural called "A New World," a work by master Fernando Ramírez Osorio, depicting the most important characters in the history of the region and the country.
