During the colonial era, this place had remnants of water from the San Francisco River.
That is why tanneries, pork butcher shops, and mills were established around it, taking advantage of the stagnant water that became a habitat for toads and frogs, giving the popular neighborhood its name.
This is one of the great attractions the city offers. Along a pedestrian street, a series of antique bazaars open up, where you can find true treasures.
On Sundays, starting at ten in the morning, a street market takes place in the surrounding streets, where you can find all kinds of curiosities and attractive pieces.
Another attraction is the colorful facades that adorn the entire alley.
Furthermore, on Fridays and Saturdays, the square fills with music, and you can enjoy a unique atmosphere in any of the restaurants or cafes located in this alley.
