The aquarium uses an advanced pumping system that filters 7 million liters of water.
Additionally, all species were bred to be in the aquarium, meaning that none of the species were captured and taken away from their natural environment.
It features over 10,000 specimens of 200 different species in four different settings:
The terrarium, where reptiles such as frogs, turtles, geckos, and snakes are exhibited amidst Mayan vestiges.
The jellyfish section, showcasing astonishing organisms that date back over 550 million years.
The beach area, displaying a Caribbean village where you can see starfish, sea urchins, lobsters, and coral reproductions.
The cenotes, enigmatic places considered sacred by the Mayans.
In the different exhibits, you'll find sharks, jellyfish, starfish, rays, and a variety of fish. It's a fun way to learn about the flora and fauna of coral reefs.
Additionally, it contributes to the environment through coral breeding and release into the sea.
