The train station was built during the Porfiriato period.
It was part of the narrow gauge railway line that ran on the Oriental-Teziutlán route.
The exhibited locomotive traveled this stretch until 1966, transporting passengers, various goods, and the metals extracted from the "La Aurora" mine located in the northern area of Teziutlán.The exhibited locomotive traveled this stretch until 1966.
The carriages of the old train were restored starting from 2017 so that they can be visited by the general public, and the Railway Cultural Center was created.
Here, there are several galleries where exhibitions showcasing the history of the railroad and other city events are held.
In the last carriage, there is a small café where you can enjoy a refreshing drink.
Additionally, pleasant wooden benches, a colorful sign with the name of Teziutlán, and a picturesque kiosk were placed to embellish the place.
