This market has a long history.
Since 1796, it has been located in the San Roque square as a place dedicated to trade.
It was called "El Parían" because it was a mandatory stop for muleteers coming from Veracruz, Oaxaca, the Guerrero Coast, and the capital of the Colony.
Remaining true to its colonial tradition, the market continues to be the best option for buying all kinds of crafts from Puebla.
It is considered one of the most important crafts markets, with a total of 112 stalls offering a wide variety of beautiful pieces made by artisans from Puebla and neighboring states.
Here, you can find talavera pottery, ceramics, pottery, jewelry, clothing, textiles, among other items.
