Tourist Attractions in Mulegé

Iglesia de Santa Bárbara

In the village, you can visit the Santa Bárbara Church, which is entirely made of iron. Its altar features stained glass windows, and its ornaments and Gothic altarpiece were brought from Europe.

Municipal Palace and Archive

Built entirely of wood in 1885 and attributed to Gustave Eiffel.

Jardín Morelos

Located on the main street, inaugurated in 1950, it is also the work of French builders. Here you can find a Baldwin locomotive brought to the country in 1886.

Regional Museum

Located in a former jail, completed in 1907, which is known as the only jail without bars that has existed in Baja California Sur, called "Cananea."

The museum exhibits archaeological pieces, fossils, instruments of ancient settlers, and overall artifacts that narrate the region's past.

Mission of Santa Rosalía de Mulegé

Bahía de Concepción

The bay is home to tranquil and beautiful beaches such as El Requesón, Santipac, Los Naranjos, Los Cocos, El Burro, and Buenaventura, among others, which are highly visited by water sports enthusiasts, cruisers, and boats of all kinds.

El Requesón Beach

Considered a hidden treasure, this desert beach features calm and transparent waters perfect for swimming, kayaking, or snorkeling. There is a small island in front of this beach that can be accessed by walking when the tide is low.

Santispac Beach

Another beautiful and secluded beach located between two hills that boast the typical desert landscape. An additional attraction of this beach is a small stream that flows into an estuary, which is home to a large number of birds.

Punta Arena

It is one of the furthest beaches but one of the most beautiful ones. Similarly, Coyote Beach is adorned with lush palm trees that provide shade from the sun.
