The coastal waters that bathe Loreto and its islands have a rich marine biodiversity.
Additionally, its crystalline waters mean that you can enjoy multicolored fish.
During winter the waters are cool and can be below 21ºC so you can get cold after being in the water for a while, that is why we suggest the use of a rashguard or swimming shirt that can protect you from both cold water and the sun when you are on the surface.
We also recommend the use of sunscreen but make sure it is one that does not harm the reefs.

Loreto National Marine Park
The park consists of about 2.46 square km of a beautiful seascape with a wide variety of marine life and several endemic species, so exploring the park is always a great adventure.
Islands of Loreto
Coronado Island is located 25 minutes from Loreto and is one of the best places for its crystal clear and calm waters. You can swim with sea lions and a multitude of multicolored fish, lobsters, mollusks and sea turtles. On this island, one of the best places to practice snorkeling is the Ensenada Blanca in shallow and very crystalline waters.

On the Isla del Carmen in the area called Arroyo Blanco Sur there are amazing turquoise water caves that will surprise you with their crystalline waters and marine life. Other ideal places to practice snorkeling are: Punta Balandra with calm and not very deep waters where you will find sea snails and schools of sardines; as well as Punta Baja with hard coral reefs. In Salinas Bay you can explore the old tuna boat that sits in shallow water.
On Isla Danzante, one of the best options is Faro Norte, where there is a great variety of reefs and marine life.
Ensenada Blanca
It is an excellent option for those who want to explore the coasts of Loreto. Here you will find many tropical fish that will be easy to see due to its crystal clear waters and you will have the opportunity to rest and relax in a paradisiacal place.
