The Loreto Bay National Park is a protected natural area with a great variety of birds.

Among these birds we can mention: white-winged dove, white sandpiper, cinnamon-colored woodpecker, elegant tern, plumed gull, yellow-legged gull, yellow-footed plover, American oystercatcher, brown pelican, white heron, brown heron, black-crowned rock, osprey, booby blue foot, brown booby, long-eared cormorant, magnificent frigatebird and black-throated grackle, to name a few.

Among the best places for bird watching are the Estero Las Garzas, and Isla del Carmen a natural refuge for birds.
