NATURAL BEAUTY WITH ANCIENT HISTORY
During the pre-Hispanic era, this region was inhabited by various indigenous ethnic groups of Nahua origin who belonged to the Xalisco lordship.
The first Spaniard to arrive in this territory was Francisco Cortés de San Buenaventura, nephew of Hernán Cortés, in the years 1524 and 1525. However, it was not until 1532 that Compostela was baptized and named the capital of Nueva Galicia until 1560, making it a Ciudad Real (Royal City).
It features a series of landscapes filled with colorful beauty, incredible beaches, historic buildings, and rich traditions.
It is located in the southern part of the state of Nayarit, 38 km (1 hour) from Tepic and 207 km (2 hours and 45 minutes) from Guadalajara.
