A small and picturesque town that retains its old colonial layout.

In its main square, you can admire the Church of the Virgin of Good Success, dating back to the 18th century, which displays a baroque style. Across from it is the Municipal Palace, housed in a typical Porfirian building.

Every Tuesday, the traditional tianguis (street market) takes place, where you can find all kinds of items, purchase some renowned textile crafts, and savor regional dishes such as lamb barbacoa with its consommé.

You can visit the Gualupita Yancuictlalpan workshop, which has passed down the teachings of using looms from generation to generation, producing incredible items such as socks, blankets, sweaters, coats, vests, and hats, to name a few.
