Every 8th of December, the Feast of the Immaculate Virgin of Juquila is celebrated, drawing thousands of pilgrims.

Santuario de la Inmaculada Virgen de Juquila (Sanctuary of the Immaculate Virgin of Juquila)

It is the most important Catholic temple in the region and the fifth most important in Mexico. This beautiful building dates back to the 18th century and houses the miraculous wooden image of the Virgin.

Every 8th of December, you can experience the celebration held in her honor, where thousands of pilgrims from all over the country gather to pay tribute.

El Pedimento

Considered a sacred place, it has a chapel and marks the beginning of the Path of Faith, a 3.8-kilometer path surrounded by vegetation and crystal-clear streams.

Capilla de la Veladores

Located adjacent to the Sanctuary, this place is significant along the Route of Faith, as its niches symbolize the path and stops on the way to the final destination.

Wood Carving Workshops

Visit the wood carving workshops where artisan reproductions of the image of the Virgin of Juquila are made, and explore the community market where you can find typical products and crafts from the municipality every Friday.
