CAPULÁLPAM DE MÉNDEZ

The beautiful wooded landscapes and steep walls around the town offer very good options for rappeling.

You do not need to be an expert, since there are several operators who have the experience to teach you how to enjoy nature from another point of view. There is a natural limestone wall 35 m (115 ft) high ideal to learn and enjoy rappeling.

Ixtlán

The Ecoturixtlán Ecotourism Center is located, half an hour from the Magical Town. Within its landscape it includes the grotto of the Arch with walls 70 m (230 ft) high where you can practice rappelling.

OAXACA

Hierve el Agua

It is located in the heart of a rugged mountain range an hour and a half from Oaxaca. The main attraction is the spectacle offered by two impressive petrified waterfalls, the first 30 m (98 ft) high and the second 12 m (39 ft) approximately. This natural beauty offers a challenge for all lovers of this intrepid sport.

Santiago Apoala

Another good option is Satiago Apoala, a beautiful place with rocks, canyons, waterfalls, and valleys that present unique natural attractions. In addition, there are caves with wide galleries and interesting natural viewpoints. It is located two and a half hours from Oaxaca.

Benito Juárez Yaat Yana Ecotourism Center 

The center, in addition to having beautiful landscapes, it has some walls that are excellent for rappelling. The center has cabins and the rental of horses, binoculars, bicycles and an exciting zip line. It is located one hour from San Pablo Villa de Mitla and an hour and a half from the city of Oaxaca.
