CAPULÁLPAM DE MÉNDEZ

Sierra Norte

A pleasant way to enjoy the Sierra Norte is on horseback. There is a tour from Benito Juárez to Mirador from where you have a panoramic view of the Central Valleys. It is located an hour and a half from Capulálpam de Méndez.

San Juan Atepec

In this place you can ride a horse in the Daniel H. Álvarez Bicentennial Ecological Park and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. It is located one hour from Calpulálpam and one and a half hours from the city of Oaxaca.

OAXACA

Benito Juárez to Latuvi Trail

Another option is to ride from Benito Juárez to Latuvi, or from Latuvi to Amatlán along the "Camino Real" (Royal Road), that is a pre-Hispanic route. It is located 20 minutes from Mitla and almost an hour from the city of Oaxaca.

San Jerónimo Tlacochahuaya

This is a unique tour where you can visit several distilleries, producers of various types of agave. This tour can be done on horseback or bicycle. Also in the town you can visit the magnificent church with several colonial treasures. It is located half an hour from the city of Oaxaca.
