AN INCREDIBLE MARINA IN FRONT OF TETAKAWI HILL

It is one of the main tourist destinations in Sonora and the most important for sport fishing. This beautiful destination is 242 miles (390 kilometers) far from the US border and 120 km from Hermosillo.

San Carlos is noted for the exceptional clarity and warmth of the ocean water in its shallow bays, the white sandy beaches and the desert landscapes.

Hotels in San Carlos are suitable for any budget. In addition, the town offers condominiums with excellent rooms and trailer parks with all the necessary services, ideal for visitors in motor homes.

Numerous restaurants specializing in seafood and international food are available; the regional steak dish, “carne asada," is served with flour tortillas in many restaurants. When the sun goes down there are a number of sports bars, clubs, discos, and bars located around town.

San Carlos has the Country Club, an 18-hole course, and two excellent Marina facilities (Marina Real and Marina San Carlos), with almost 400 slips and can handle yachts up to 63 feet in length. Both with paved launch ramps, dry storage facilities, complete marine repair and maintenance services, fuel docks and reasonable rates for slip rental. You should visit the Panoramic Lookout, from where you can appreciate stunning sunsets that offer the Sonoran beaches, also you are being able to observe the majesty of the Tetakawi Hill. This is an impressive natural formation that has been constituted as an unmistakable symbol of the bay. Its steep surface of 656 feet over sea level has turned into a challenge -and simultaneously a delight-for trekking and climbing practicians.
