A BEAUTIFUL REFUGE OF THE INDIGENOUS SERI PEOPLE

Located on the coast of the Gulf of California, in the center of the Sonora coastline, 107 kilometers away from Hermosillo, is Bahía de Kino, known as the "Pearl of the Gulf of California." It boasts an extensive beach with white sand and beautiful blue waters.

Alcatraz island

Located in the middle of the bay, just off the coast the Tiburón Island, recognized as the largest in Mexico and turned into an Ecological Reserve. These islands are home to bighorn sheep and mule deer, and visitors can enjoy guided tours with Seri guides, who have an in-depth knowledge of the islands' magical world.

Punta Chueca

This village is the largest settlement of the Seri population, who still keep their culture and traditions alive. Here, you can acquire beautiful and varied crafts. It's recommended to visit their museum, surrounded by an area where the region's flora and fauna have been preserved. Inside, there are photographs showing the Seri way of life, carvings in ironwood from different eras, and archaeological pieces.

Punta Chueca is the best place to appreciate the beauty of Isla Tiburón and is located just 52 km from Kino Bay. It is a place inhabited by the Seris, who live on the edge of the beach and offer their beautiful crafts. From here you can hire fishing and diving trips.
