COLORFUL AND UNFORGETTABLE SUNSETS

It has been the state capital since 1879 and is strategically located in the heart of Northwestern Mexico, near the coast and only 270 kilometers from the border.

The city offers prominent artistic activities and cultural events. It is known as the "City of the Sun" and is famous for its reddish sunsets.

Hermosillo harmoniously combines tradition and modernity. While exploring the city, you can admire beautiful 19th-century buildings alongside avant-garde constructions.

It is a dynamic city, and its people are recognized in Mexico for their entrepreneurial spirit and warm, open, and hospitable character.

The city offers a wide range of options for those seeking entertainment, art, culture, history, beaches, renowned hotels, spas, museums, and a varied and rich regional cuisine that can be savored in over 260 restaurants offering typical food with excellent steaks and grilled meat, as well as various international options.

In its surroundings, you can find pleasant attractions such as the archaeological site of La Pintada, located just 60 km south of the city; Bahía de Kino, a paradisiacal place next to the Sea of Cortez; and the town of Ures, one of the oldest cities in Sonora, founded as a mission in 1644. You can also explore the Ruta del Río Sonora, which is an encounter with the history and nature of the region, visiting places such as Ures, Baviácora, Aconchi, San Felipe de Jesús, Huépac, Banámichi, Arizpe, Bacoachi, and Cananea.
