It is located in the south of Sonora, a five-hour drive from the US border. Ciudad Obregón is surrounded by the beaches of the Sea of Cortez to the west, the Sierra Madre Occidental to the east, the Mayo Valley to the south, and the Port of Guaymas and the beaches of San Carlos to the north.
