ÁLAMOS

The Sierra that surrounds the Magic Town of Álamos is a privileged place for bird watching because it has several ecosystems of low jungle, thorny forest and pine-oak forests. Here you can find 264 bird species. Also in this area are two of the most important migratory routes of birds on the continent: those that migrate from North America to the south and those from South America to the north.

Easy-to-spot birds include macaws and parrots. Perhaps one of the best places in the vicinity of Álamos is El Cuchujaqui, located just 20 minutes from the Magical Town. This place is considered an Ecological Reserve with groves and natural ponds where hundreds of birds can be observed.

CIUDAD OBREGÓN

Huivulai Island

With its 17 km long and 1.2 km wide, it is a sanctuary for more than 50 bird species that live in its high dunes and the fresh water well. Located one hour from Ciudad Obregón.

HUATABAMPITO

Huatabampo

Huatabampo's mangroves and wetlands, including the Moroncarit Lagoon, are home to more than 500 species of migratory birds, including ducks, geese, and shorebirds.
